Discipleship is a relationship that exists between
two or more people with the primary purpose of teaching and encouraging one
another in the ways of Jesus Christ. This
has a predominantly spiritual focus, within a Biblical framework. In discipleship, the emphasis would be in terms of
study of scripture, prayer life, service, worship
and fruits of the Spirit, which contribute to transformation towards
Christ-likeness. These are spiritual
disciplines of thought, word and deed. | "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:2 NIV) |
